Job Overview
The Manager, Sales Operations – Incentive Compensation will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of Sequel’s incentive compensation program for both our inside sales team and our national field team, which includes Territory Business Leaders, Clinical Diabetes Specialists, and Clinical Operations Managers. The program has already been developed; this role is focused on ensuring accurate execution, ongoing management, reporting, and performance insights. In addition to incentive compensation, this individual will provide support for other sales operations functions as needed. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
  • Manage and execute Sequel’s incentive compensation program, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payouts for both inside and field-based sales teams.
  • Monitor and validate sales performance metrics, calculating and verifying incentive compensation in accordance with established plan designs.
  • Collaborate with Finance, People & Culture, and Commercial leadership to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual compensation cycles.
  • Analyze sales performance trends and incentive effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting plan adjustments as needed.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track incentive program performance and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Support field leadership with territory-level performance insights and tailored compensation reporting.
  • Partner with data vendors and internal teams to integrate and analyze large datasets, including prescription and claims data from IQVIA, Komodo Health, and other sources.
  • Support the Executive Director of Commercial Operations with sales forecasting activities, including contributing to annual budget planning and providing data-driven insights to inform revenue projections.
  • Participate in the quarterly and annual plan design review process by providing analysis, scenario modeling, and insights into rep behavior and plan performance.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the field team vehicle support program, balancing cost-efficiency, scalability, and field team experience as the organization evolves.
  • Provide support for additional sales operations initiatives, including roster management, targeting, territory alignment, and sales analytics.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the field and inside sales teams for questions related to incentive compensation and performance reporting.


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations and/or sale support, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industries

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proven experience managing incentive compensation plans for large (100+ participants) commercial sales organizations.
  • Strong skills in performing quantitative analysis and interpreting data to support decision making.
  • Experience working with large datasets and claims data from sources such as IQVIA and Komodo Health.
  • Experience with field vehicle support or management programs such as Motus.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce required
  • Experience with PowerBI is a nice-to-have
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex processes with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
